Miami Dolphins set to Accept Litecoin and Bitcoin For Payments

Miami Dolphins joined The Lightcoin Foundation and announced on 11th July that it is about to accept bitcoin and Litecoin for payments beginning in 2019 and 2020 NFL season. Florida based payment processing and independent merchant services provider, Aliant Payment, will be powering the cryptocurrency payment solution. The partnership of Miami Dolphin, Litecoin and Aliant Payment would give home game attendees an opportunity to pay with Litecoin and Bitcoin when they will buy tickets for the team’s 50/50 raffle. The tickets can be purchased online at 14 kiosk and raffle seller locations in Hard Rock Stadium.
Kim Rometo, Miami Dolphins Vice President & Chief Information Officer, said, “The Miami Dolphins are always looking for ways to enhance the fan experience, and this partnership with Litecoin provides the ability for guests to enjoy our 50/50 raffle while donating to a great cause.”
In 2014 when Sacramento Kings, professional sports franchise, started accepting Bitcoin, everybody started talking about how cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum might revolutionize sports. And the cryptocurrency signals became the screener to find the best trading opportunities. In the same year, Georgia Tech began accepting Bitcoin.
