In a US-based survey, it has been observed that poor safety arrangements in the US schools have been leading to an increase in the number of playground accidents among children. And most of the children falling victim to such playground accidents belong to primary schools within the age group of 7-10.

The survey highlights that poor supervision in the playground and the non-maintenance, as well as replacement of playground equipment, are the other common reasons for the increasing accidents in playgrounds among primary school children. Due to the daily wear and tear of playground equipment as well as the exposure to harsh weather conditions, they become difficult to use for children.

Hence, design or manufacturing defect issues lead to the occurrence of playground accidents due to slipping and falling while playing with such poorly maintained equipment. Parents are suing playground owners and school authorities due to poor surveillance of children while they play in playgrounds. A lot of parents are consulting the Law Offices of Joel J. Kofsky, a Philadelphia based personal injury law firm to seek compensation for the personal injuries of their children due to the poor responsibility of school authorities.

In addition to this, an increase in playground accidents outside the schools’ premises has been noticed by people. Due to this, the demand for personal injury lawyer services has simply increased to a great extent in the US. Moreover, a high focus is being laid on forcing playground owners to pay more attention to children who are not capable of understanding the dangers and risks while playing in playgrounds.
